BMW Ghost Immobiliser
The Ghost uses the data bus CAN to communicate with your vehicle. This prevents thieves from putting in keys or replacing the ECU to get around your security system because it requires a correct PIN code to begin the engine.
The Ghost is unique to other immobilisers as it doesn't rely on key fobs or LED indicators. Instead it uses the buttons on your vehicle to allow you to enter a unique disarm sequence that only you know.
Stop & Start
If you've been in a BMW or used its stop-start feature you may have noticed the engine continues to run for 30 seconds after you release the brake pedal. This is due to the BMW engine management system continuously monitoring your vehicle for signals from the ignition key, and when this is found it will continue to run. Our BMW ghost immobiliser is a revolutionary next-generation device that does not require cutting OEM wires or adding aftermarket alarms or key fobs. It is connected to the BMW CAN data network, and is programmed with an unique PIN code that can be accessible through buttons on your car. This allows you to enter key sequences that are not accessible in normal media menus. For instance, volume up/down or source air conditioning, cruise control and more. The PIN can be between 4 and 20 characters, making it hard for thieves to guess.

Service / Valet Mode

It uses the factory buttons on your vehicle to create an unique sequence of pushes that only you can identify. It is similar to the pin code security of your mobile phone. It's incredibly discreet and quiet and deterring even the most determined thieves from ever trying!
When parked at home or in an event where you meet and greet, the Ghost can be set to service mode which allows you to start the vehicle using your keys as normal but stops the engine from running again unless the proper code is entered. This is ideal for those who need to give their vehicles to valet service companies, or trusted family members and friends. It also lets you get the car into the garage for servicing etc without having to worry about it getting tampered with or stolen by a mechanic whilst you are waiting.
When the service/valet mode is enabled and enabled, your BMW will not be able to drive after it is started. This prevents anyone else from attempting to drive it while you are away. After you return, it will revert back to normal, preventing your vehicle from being damaged or stolen again.
The Ghost can be installed on any BMW. All you require is the correct keys, as the device does not utilize the original remotes, but can be used in conjunction with them. Anti-Hijack
Ghost developed this discreet, unobtrusive device to combat the ever-increasing sophistication of high-tech thieves. It's designed to stop thieves from adding an ignition key or replacing the ECU to start your vehicle and drive it off. Ghost connects to your CAN data network and utilizes the buttons in your vehicle (steering wheel and centre console as well as door panels) to create an individual push sequence that must be completed before the engine can be started.
This will activate the anti-hijack feature and, once activated any attempt to start the engine will be blocked. The system will hone the horn and flash the indicators. It will also stall the vehicle when the code isn't found. ghost car immobiliser -Hijack feature is disabled by entering your push sequence, or by entering service mode that allows your vehicle to start and drive without having to enter your PIN.
If you own a GPS device connected to your BMW and you want to use it to disable the Anti-Hijack function to allow you to navigate using your navigation system even when the vehicle is stationary. You can also use your smartphone to control the anti theft feature and other functions.

You can also track your vehicle on the map in real-time using your smartphone.
The Ghost can be positioned in the dashboard area, or in the centre console. It is completely concealed, tamperproof, and does not require any additional wiring. The device is connected to CAN Data Network of the vehicle (similar to an Ethernet cable) and a unique pin code is programmed in it. This pin code needs to be entered before the vehicle is started. This stops thieves from using a cloned key or replacing the ECU to get around this system.
If the vehicle is stolen and the Ghost will go into a service mode and shut down all functions until the PIN code is entered or you can make use of the mobile app to disarm it. Ghost also can stop the 'Relay Style Frequency Amplifier'. This is the most frequent method of preventing a vehicle from being stolen with a key-fob that has been cloned or stolen by hacking. Ghost can help you avoid this by installing a security device to prevent theft in your vehicle, called Secure-A-Key.
